The Finished Product

December 10, 2007

As promised here is part 2 of the cookie makin’ adventure. Now keep in mind the average age of the “baker” for this project is 9 years old. The cookies are to be presented to their teachers this Saturday and are in the shape of an owl because the owl is a symbol of wisdom. You really had to be there to see the icing process! As they iced the cookies, they also “tested” the tastiness of the icing. What kid doesn’t like icing a/k/a sugar?! Ok, so we made double amount of icing to compensate for the taste testing. But again to see the joy and happiness on their faces as they made their cookies seemingly come to life and really beginning to look like owls was just worth a million bucks! One day when they have their own families they will look back on this day and perhaps also make a memory with their child. That makes it all worthwhile. Enjoy looking at the photos of the icing process and of course the finished product!

hard at work!
