Just exactly what does it mean?

June 3, 2009

Just had to share this street sign from a small city in southern Ukraine. Your guess is as good as mine as to what they are trying to communicate to the driver.

OK, I’m going to take a wild guess and say “If you continue on this way you’re going to take a swim.” 🙂 It’s scary to think that the sign may be the only warning you get. What if you miss it? No barrier??? Yikes! It’s been good to see you again! Thank you for helping to make this transition for the boys and the Kuenzlis such a smooth one. Love, Marlene

Good guess!! Actually the red sign with the white “brick” is a do not enter – one way. The other sign means if you do enter there isn’t much road and you’ll go over the edge and be in the water. I too enjoyed brainstorming with you last night! I so very much appreciate your help!!! Keep it coming please. Thank you! love, Jane

This is great! I have the same picture from near the waterfront in Kherson. It just makes me laugh! I enjoy reading your blog. Kuddos!
